INTERNAL SD CARD BACKUP PLUS SECURE CLOUD STORAGE
The Socket Lead is fitted with 32 GB of internal storage. Optionally, you can set up an encrypted Cloud storage account within the smartphone app to store all your crucial video files. This ensures that even if your Socket Lead is stolen or damaged, you can still access all your stored video files from the cloud—anytime—anywhere.
WIFI DROP OUT? NO PROBLEM
If the camera loses its WiFi connection, you'll receive a 'camera offline' push notification after 30 minutes. The camera will continue monitoring the environment and storing video files per your record settings. While you can't view the camera live during a WiFi disconnection, it will continue capturing recorded files while offline. These files will automatically appear in the smartphone app once the WiFi connection is restored.
If WiFi isn't available at the premises, consider purchasing a portable MiFi Dongle to provide a wireless 4G | 5G network for the camera. The camera can connect to a smartphone's Personal Hotspot (tethering). Read the 'More Information' tab for further details.
INVISIBLE SSID CAMERA
For added peace of mind, the SSID won't display when the camera is connected to a WiFi network, keeping it undetected from third parties searching for WiFi-connected devices on the network.

DO ALL SOCKETS FUNCTION NORMALLY?
Indeed. All sockets will power various electrical devices. It's advisable to use them for smaller appliances, such as desk lamps, tablets, and the like, rather than larger items like washing machines, refrigerators, or televisions.
CAN ONE DETECT THE PRESENCE OF THE CAMERA?
The camera is expertly installed and camouflaged along the long edge of the socket, so a casual observer would not notice its presence. The socket also features a high-quality Peizo-electric microphone integrated into the electronics board, providing clear audio within its immediate surroundings.
HOW IS THE WIFI CAMERA POWERED?
The Socket Lead must be connected to a main power supply to power the WiFi camera. Batteries or recharging are not needed.

WHAT ADVANTAGES COME WITH CONNECTING THE CAMERA TO A WIFI NETWORK?
Once connected, your smartphone becomes the remote control hub for the camera. You can view and record live streams or take snapshots from anywhere in the world. You can adjust recording modes (motion, continuous, or scheduled), enable push notifications, playback recorded videos, delete files, and download videos to your smartphone's camera roll. You can also grant access to family members via a secure URL, which you can revoke anytime.
THERE IS NO WIFI ON THE PREMISES
The camera can link to any device that populates a WiFi network, including 4G | 5G MiFi dongles or tethering hotspots. A MiFi dongle, a compact portable device with an active data SIM card (available from numerous retailers), creates an instant wireless WiFi network. Similarly, a tethering hotspot from a secondary smartphone or tablet with a data SIM card is equally effective.
IS THE SMARTPHONE APP EASY TO USE?
Certainly. The app, available for download from the Apple and Google Play Stores, offers functionality to satisfy beginners as well as the most tech-savvy enthusiasts.
CAN I RECEIVE PUSH NOTIFICATIONS WHEN MOVEMENT IS DETECTED?
Yes. This feature can be enabled via the smartphone app. Once enabled, the camera will notify your smartphone whenever it detects motion.
ELABORATE MORE ABOUT THE MODES OF RECORDING
The camera offers four distinct recording modes:
- Manual—Whilst live viewing, you can tap 'Record' or 'Screenshot' to save images and video clips for immediate playback and download.
- Motion—Set the camera to record when it detects movement (within a 50-foot range).
- Continuous—Set the camera to record non-stop until the SD card reaches capacity.
- Scheduled—Set the camera to record at specific times and dates or multiple instances.
Recorded videos are neatly organised within the app's calendar for easy navigation. Recordings are displayed on an accurate timeline of captured events.
IS THE SMARTPHONE APP SECURE?
Yes. Although we didn't develop the app ourselves, the engineers have a licence agreement to host a server in the UK, ensuring peace of mind the camera doesn't route through unknown overseas servers.
CAN THE CAMERA VIEW THE ROOM WHEN IT'S DARK?
The camera performs well in very low lighting but can't see in complete darkness. Therefore, the room needs a small amount of light.
DOES THE CAMERA FLASH OR MAKE NOISES?
No. This product is designed for discreet security and surveillance of your property.
WHAT'S THE CAMERA'S RESOLUTION?
Live streaming and video recordings are in HD 1080P resolution.
HOW MANY WIFI CAMERAS CAN BE ADDED TO THE APP?
You can add multiple cameras to the same app, allowing you to monitor various areas of the premises simultaneously.
HOW CAN I REVIEW RECORDED FOOTAGE?
Manual recordings (video or snapshot) taken during live viewing are instantly available for playback and can be downloaded directly to your camera roll.
Continuous, motion, and scheduled recordings remain encrypted and stored within the app for playback. These recordings can not be directly downloaded to your camera roll; however, the app has implemented an easy way to make a copy to download to your camera roll.
Optionally, you can open an encrypted Cloud account where all files are stored and can be accessed remotely. If your camera is stolen or damaged, you can access your secure cloud files anytime, anywhere.
WILL THE CAMERA WORK IF THE SOCKET LEAD IS UNPLUGGED?
No. If the Socket Lead is disconnected from the mains, the WiFi camera will lose power. The camera will automatically reconnect to the associated WiFi network when power is restored.
CAN I MOVE THE SOCKET LEAD AND CONNECT TO A DIFFERENT WIFI?
Yes. You'll need to remove the camera encryption from the current WiFi network first, then set it up on the new network. We provide full instructions for this process.

I was a bit sceptical about the " phone only" access feature but it actually works very well, as does the remote viewing. The sound quality is also very good with none of the background noise you get with other some products or CCTV audio.

Note: If you choose DPD for next-day delivery, your order must be received by 10:00 am to allow time for booking a collection.
SATURDAY DELIVERY
We offer Saturday delivery by Royal Mail Special and DPD Courier, provided your order is received no later than 12 noon on Friday. If your order is received after 12:00 noon on Friday, we cannot despatch for Saturday delivery.
Your parcel will be couriered and fully trackable by UPS or FedEx for orders despatched to EU countries and other worldwide destinations. If you have a specific preference of courier please let us know before placing an order.

Your parcel is despatched with an estimated delivery time of 4-6 working days and a flat shipping fee of £39.00.
EXPEDITED SHIPPING
Your parcel is despatched with an estimated delivery time of 3-5 days and a flat shipping fee of £49.00.
Deliveries to the EU and other worldwide destinations are not guaranteed within the stated timescales. Customs and Excise in the receiving country may subject your parcel to charges outside our control.
Sometimes, the delivery destination can exceed the flat-rate shipping fee. We try to absorb additional shipping fees; however, in a minority of cases, this may not be possible due to our small margins, and we may need to touch base with you before dispatch to discuss further options.
