CONTINUOUS AND VOICE ACTIVATED RECORDING MODES

The pen can switch between continuous and voice activated recording depending on the situation.  For example; continuous recording is best used when going into a meeting or you need to record the duration of a conversation.  Voice activated recording provides a slightly longer battery performance due to audio recording commencing only when sound is detected.  This function is best used when you are absent over a period of time and need to capture relevant audio but do not know when events may take place.

TIME AND DATE STAMP

Windows users can take advantage of the supplied software for conveniently setting the time and date.  This can help to resolve disputes by providing an accurate timeline of events or to recap events accurately.

Note: The supplied Windows software is not a necessity and the pen is fully compatible with Mac computers for recharging, recording audio and playing back audio files.

An ALC (automatic level control) function automatically adjusts the sound balance of the microphone to lessen audio distortion when recording close up and at a distance.  In our test with a software program called 'Boom 2' installed from the App Store, the pen was capable of picking up conversations approx 25 feet away from where the pen had been placed.

LONG RECORDING TIMES

Each audio file is stored in MP3 format @ 128 KBPS for extremely clear stunning sound.  Up to 71 hours recording (per charge) can be achieved using Long Play mode, 35 hours using High Quality mode and 17 hours using the Extra High Quality mode.

Should you forget to stop recording, the pen will automatically store recorded file/s at the end of its power so no important data is lost.

When you need to recharge the pen or play back stored audio recording/s, simply connect the pen to a Windows or Mac computer using the supplied USB cable.  Earphones are also supplied for playing recorded audio directly through the pen for example; when travelling or if you do not have access to a computer.

To cover the USB charging port at the top of the pen, we supply a little cap cover which simply slots in the hole.  Whilst we feel the cap cover isn't a necessity, it does make the pen look tidier.
