A Car Key Fob Camera; with Ultra 4K Video Recording
The Key Fob Camera can be easily carried with you or attached to your keys if you prefer. The camera lens is expertly placed at the front edge, allowing you to hold the fob naturally and film discreetly in any direction. Alternatively, you can set the fob on a desk, table, or shelf, and at the right height, it will deliver excellent recording results.
The fob includes a built-in WiFi module that syncs with an app on your smartphone, making it very convenient to set the time and date and view live camera footage to best position the camera angle, along with other fine-tuning settings.
4K ULTRA HD VIDEO RECORDING
The fob optionally offers true 4K Ultra HD video resolution (selectable from the drop-down menu above), which looks absolutely stunning. The fob is crafted to a very high standard without any visible USB ports or flashing lights while recording, making it one of the best hidden spy cameras ever made.
HIGH-RESOLUTION PICTURE SNAPSHOTS
You can also take high-resolution picture snapshots. The 16 GB SD card included will store hundreds of images, allowing you to mix video footage and still images.
BUILT-IN WIFI MODULE
The Key Fob Camera has a built-in WiFi module that syncs the fob with your smartphone to easily access the camera settings and set the time and date via the secure app. This makes things incredibly easy and removes the otherwise cumbersome process of connecting the fob to a computer. The app is available to download from the Apple | Google Play Store. The app is a genius concept and will undoubtedly be the future when setting up devices.
LONG RECORDING TIMES
Powered by a fully rechargeable battery, you can continuously record or start/stop recording 'on demand' for approximately 65 minutes (above average for a small pocket camera) before needing a recharge. Video footage and picture snapshots are stored on a removable Micro SD card (16 GB included).
The card can be removed from the fob and inserted into a Windows or Mac computer to access and playback video files. No special software or technical skills are required, and all recorded footage is time and date-stamped for evidential purposes.
OPTIONAL 10'000 mAh POWER BANK
Sometimes, there is no practical way to recharge surveillance cameras between jobs, especially when travelling. The pocket-sized iSmart Power Bank can be placed in your car glove box or pocket, and when needed, it connects externally to the fob (or any other electronic device, like a smartphone) to fully recharge it.

Note: A USB mains plug (not supplied) is needed to recharge the fob from mains power. Alternatively, you can buy a genuine Apple USB mains plug from the menu above. A USB mains plug is not essential, as the fob can be charged through a computer, albeit at a slower rate.

WHAT CHARACTERISTICS ARE THE 1080P MODEL AND THE 4K MODEL?
The 4K Ultra HD version has a slightly more rounded cosmetic finish; however, the specifications vary, which you can compare under the Technical Info below. In our honest opinion, the 1080P model delivers excellent image, sound and fluidity that won't disappoint you.
CAN THE FOB BE VISUALLY EXAMINED?
To the naked eye, there's nothing unusual about the car fobs, but it's best not to let people physically tamper with it.
DO I NEED TO USE THE APP ON MY SMARTPHONE?
You don't need the smartphone app to use the product. However, the app is handy for updating the time and date, accessing the camera settings, and viewing the camera to find the best angle for recording. This is especially useful for the 4K Ultra HD model with additional motion-activated recording.
WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF THE VIDEO?
Both models are a cut above similar items. Video is captured in true high-definition 1080P @ 30 FPS (frames per second) or 4K @ 120 FPS for smooth, fluid footage.
CAN I TAKE PICTURE SNAPSHOTS?
Snapshots with the 1080P model are saved in JPEG format with a resolution of 2952 x 1944. Snapshots taken with the 4K model have a resolution of 4320 x 3240. The fob must remain completely still when taking snapshots to avoid blurring.
WHEN THE FOB IS RECORDING, IS THERE VIBRATION OR OTHER INDICATORS?
Subtle LED indicators behind the rear compartment of the fob (blue LED) inform you when the fob is on standby mode. In addition, the device will vibrate according to your actions, so you will become proficient in understanding the fob's status. With a little practice, you will know when the fob is on standby, recording, and switching ON/OFF.
HOW IS THE KEY FOB POWERED?
A fully charged fob will power recording for approx. 65 minutes for the 1080P model and 75 minutes for the 4K model (per charge). Optionally, we can supply a high-quality iSmart Power Bank that is small enough to carry or keep in a car glove compartment to recharge the fob when travelling or without access to main power.
HOW DO I PLAYBACK VIDEO FILES?
Recordings are stored on a removable Micro SD card inside the car fob. The card can be removed and played on a Windows or Mac computer without the need for special software.
Note: The 4K model will save recorded video files in one minute durations. For TV production companies, we can provide firmware that reduces the frame rate to 25 FPS and increases recorded file durations to five minutes.
HOW MUCH VIDEO FOOTAGE WILL THE SUPPLIED 16 GB CARD HOLD?
Approx. 4 hours of video, several hundred picture snapshots, or a combination of both.
WHAT ARE THE RECORDING FORMATS?
The video is saved in MOV format, and snapshots are saved in JPEG. To play back files, no special software is needed other than a standard computer Media Player.
CAN THE FOB'S CAMERA RECORD IN THE DARK?
No. Natural or artificial lighting is required. The better the lighting conditions, the brighter and more vibrant the footage will be. Having said that, the fob works excellently in pubs, clubs, and other places with low-lighting conditions.
