IS IT POSSIBLE TO KNOW THE DIGITAL CLOCK HAS SURVEILLANCE TECHNOLOGY?

By visual inspection this looks a smart and modern fully functional slimline digital clock which would sit very nicely on a desk or shelf and powers from the mains just like any other normal digital clock.  The design of the digital clock would compliment most indoor room environments without drawing any attention.  The SD card slot and recording mechanism are neatly concealed out of view.

CAN I USE THE DIGITAL CLOCK IN MY ROOM AS A MOTION ACTIVATED RECORDER?

Yes.  Plug the digital clock into any mains powered wall socket and aim the front of the clock in the direction you wish to monitor.  High definition 1080P video and audio will be captured and stored to a removable Micro SD card for later analysis on any Windows or Mac computer without any special software.

HOW EASY IS IT TO SET UP THE WIFI ASPECT?

The setup is so unbelievably easy using the FREE app available from the Apple / Google Play Store.  No messy wires, no complicated procedures, this really is super simple and means you can remotely watch through the digital clocks hidden camera with audio on your smartphone or tablet device.  In addition to being able to view live-action remotely, all recorded video files automatically stored to the backup SD card can be downloaded over Local LAN to your smartphone, set the time and date, and change camera settings by touch button control.  Even the SSID name of the camera can be made invisible so other people searching on the WiFi network cannot discover the camera.  No technical skill is required, and you can be up and running in less than 2 minutes!

WHERE IS THE CAMERA FITTED ON THE DIGITAL CLOCK?

The camera is camouflaged around the front of the clock's facia.  This means when you plug the digital clock into a wall socket, the camera can be pointed in any direction, thus giving the best viewing angle to capture events.

IS THE VIDEO CAMERA GOOD SHARP QUALITY?

Yes.  When recording to SD card either upon motion activation or when continuously recording, the video footage is recorded in full 1080P resolution.  When viewing LIVE on your smartphone or tablet through the digital clock's camera or playing recorded video, you will be pleasantly surprised how good this looks.

DOES THE DIGITAL CLOCK SUPPORT AUDIO?

Yes.

WHAT ARE THE SUPPLIED AAA BATTERIES FOR?

The time functionality is powered by batteries and operates independently of the recording mechanism; therefore, batteries are required (and supplied) to accommodate showing the correct working time on the clock's display.

WHERE IS THE CAPTURED VIDEO FOOTAGE STORED?

Video recordings are automatically backed up and saved to a removable Micro SD card fitted inside the digital clock. The maximum SD card capacity that can be used with this product is 32 GB which will store approx 16 hours of footage.  A lower capacity SD card will store less recording.

DO I NEED TO BE TECHNICAL TO PLAYBACK VIDEO FOOTAGE?

No.  Remove the Micro SD card from the digital clock and insert the card into a Windows or Mac computer and launch the media player (we recommend installing the free VLC media player from videolan.org).  There is no special software required to playback recorded video footage.

CAN THE BACKUP VIDEO FILES STORED TO THE DIGITAL CLOCK BE DOWNLOADED TO MY SMARTPHONE?

Yes.  Let's assume from within the app you swipe to enable Motion Activated Recording Or Continuous Recording (whichever recording mode you prefer).  Recorded video files are automatically stored to the Micro SD card inside the digital clock.  They can be remotely downloaded from the SD card to the app on the smartphone once you switch your smartphone to Local LAN, i.e. connected to the same WiFi network as the digital clock.  Then the video files will seamlessly appear in the app's recording list.

DOES THE DIGITAL CLOCK ALLOW ME TO VIEW WITH NIGHT VISION?

Yes. The camera is fitted with an invisible IR illuminator (not detectable by the human eye) and designed to switch ON when the camera senses low lighting.  This allows you to view the camera but also the camera can record in darkness to capture footage (black and white).

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THE DIGITAL CLOCK IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAINS POWER?

The digital clock cannot operate as a recording camera.  Only the time will still display as AAA batteries power that aspect.
