A Smoke Alarm provides an ingenious way to incorporate an aerial-mounted motion-activated surveillance camera for your home, office, stockroom, outbuilding or workshop. Powered by an internal, rechargeable battery, the Smoke Alarm will monitor for movement for approx. 30 days on a single charge! The unit is completely portable without wiring or connection to the main power, and it can be mounted and removed from the ceiling anytime.

IOS | ANDROID SMARTPHONE APP
Available for download from the Apple | Google Play Store, the smartphone app puts you in complete control of the Smoke Alarm's security camera at the touch of a button. Enable/disable push notifications to receive 'on-screen' alerts when the camera detects movement, simultaneously recording 60 seconds of video evidence.
Access recorded footage through the app, backed up by an optional removable Micro SD card fitted inside the Smoke Detector. Launch the app to watch live activity, record the room environment, take snapshots, set scheduled recording times, and replay captured video footage.
Note: The intelligent motion sensor will only trigger a full 60-second recording if the movement continues for 5 seconds (or longer). Movement lasting less than 5 seconds will result in a 10-15 second recording to minimise false triggers and conserve storage space and battery life.

The Smoke Alarm is powered by a 4,200 mAh internal battery, which provides an impressive 30 days of operational time. The smartphone app displays a helpful battery indicator to notify you when the camera is low on power and needs recharging.
Note: Battery performance varies depending on the number of triggered recordings, the duration of each recording, and how often you launch the app to view live.
Charging the Smoke Alarm is straightforward: dismount the unit from the ceiling and connect it to the mains power. An LED indicator will signal when the battery is fully charged. Then, remount the unit to the ceiling to resume remote surveillance.

IS THE SMOKE ALARM EASY TO MOUNT ON A CEILING?
Indeed. There is no drilling or messy wires. Secure the mounting brackets to a ceiling above the area you wish to monitor using the supplied rawl plugs and screws. For example, our images show the Smoke Alarm fitted directly above a doorway. The Smoke Alarm can be easily attached and detached from the mounting brackets with a simple twist. The camera points straight down through a natural gap in the Smoke Alarm's design, offering a 65-degree field-of-view.
DOES THE UNIT FUNCTION AS A REAL SMOKE ALARM?
No. The Smoke Alarm is not functional due to the internal mechanism housing the camera and power supply.
CAN THE SMOKE ALARM WORK AS A STANDALONE RECORDER WITHOUT WIFI?
No. The Smoke Alarm is designed to function when connected to a WiFi network (home or office, etc). Setup and connection are straightforward, requiring no complex configurations. It's ideal for keeping tabs on indoor hallways, corridors, or stockrooms, providing a stable network is available.
HOW IS THE SMOKE ALARM POWERED?
The Smoke Alarm contains an internal, fully rechargeable 4,200 mAh battery, which powers the camera for approximately 30 days. When the battery needs recharging (indicated on the smartphone app), the unit can be removed from the ceiling and connected to a main power with the supplied charger.
WHAT'S A REALISTIC WORKING TIME WHEN THE SMOKE ALARM IS DEPLOYED?
In our tests, we consistently achieved 30 days of operational time, which included several push notifications to our smartphone when the camera detected movement. Avoid frequently checking the live camera feed or repeatedly tapping the record button to optimise battery performance. Instead, allow the camera to do the heavy lifting by recording motion and sending push notifications. Keep an eye on the battery indicator within the smartphone app for a general idea of when to recharge the unit.
HOW DO I ACCESS VIDEO FOOTAGE?
All recorded video is accessible on your smartphone. You can also download recorded files from the app to your camera roll as evidence. An internal Micro SD card (up to 32 GB capacity) can be fitted into the Smoke Alarm to store video footage as a backup. You can view video footage stored on an SD card and transfer video files from the SD card to your smartphone. You can also physically access the recorded footage by removing the SD card from the Smoke Alarm and playing the video files on a Windows or Mac computer or other SD card-compatible player.
WHY IS EACH RECORDING LIMITED TO 60 SECONDS?
To maximise battery performance, each motion-activation video is recorded for 60 seconds. If movement continues after 60 seconds, the camera will create a separate new video file for another 60 seconds, and so on.
Note: The intelligent motion sensor will only trigger a full 60 seconds of recording if the movement continues for 5 seconds or longer. Movement lasting less than 5 seconds will produce a 10-15 second recording to reduce false triggers and conserve storage space and battery life.
DOES THE SMOKE ALARM CAMERA SUPPORT SCHEDULE RECORDING?
Yes. The smartphone app allows you to select various times of the day and week to enable motion-activated recording during specified periods. For example, you can set the camera to detect movement only on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10:00 and 15:00.
CAN OTHER PEOPLE KNOW THE CAMERA IS CONNECTED TO MY WIFI NETWORK?
No. Once the camera is connected to a WiFi network, its transmittable SSID is not discoverable to people searching for WiFi-connected devices.
IS VIEWING LIVE AND RECORDED VIDEO SHARP QUALITY?
The Smoke Alarm's HD 1080P camera resolution produces crystal-clear images. Please note that the frame rate (FPS) is automatic to maximise battery performance and may stream live footage a couple of seconds behind real-time movement.

EXPEDITED SHIPPING

Deliveries to the EU and other worldwide destinations are not guaranteed within the stated timescales. Customs and Excise in the receiving country may subject your parcel to charges outside our control.
