A little gem of a product, and one of the smallest audio recorders at just 2 inches - the 'Pocket Rocket' USB Voice Recorder has selectable voice-activation and continuous recording times up to 18 hours per charge. The device is lightweight and measures a tiny 55 mm in length. The supplied metal clip can be attached to secure the recorder inside a shirt or jacket for body-worn recording or deployed inside a room or vehicle to gather audio evidence as required. A one-touch ON/OFF switch is perfect for 'fumble-free' recordings on-demand.
UP TO 244 HOURS OF RECORDING TIME
The Pocket Rocket USB Recorder has an internal fully rechargeable battery or can be plugged into a Windows or Mac computer to record until its 8 GB storage is full - that's a massive ten days (244 hours) of actual recording time! When connected to a computer while in record mode, the device is purposely not recognised by a computer.
VOICE-ACTIVATED AND CONTINUOUS RECORDING
Slide the record switch to the preferred record mode. Voice-activated recording is best suited when you are absent or when the environment is not engaged all of the time. Voice-activation mode will conserve battery power and storage space by recording only relevant conversations the microphone has detected and not record quiet environments. Continuous recording is best suited for 'on-demand' situations, for example, one-on-one or group meetings, or if the environment is busy.
TIME AND DATE STAMP
Sync the time and date from a Window's computer to the device. Each audio recording will then be created with the correct time and date. A time and date stamp will help you understand, for example, the precise moment somebody enters your room, creating a timeline of when certain events had taken place.
SOUND QUALITY SETTING
Adjust the audio recording quality between HQ (high-quality) and XHQ (extra high-quality). The lower (HQ) setting is set by default and draws less power consumption when recording to help maximise battery performance (per charge). For smaller room and vehicle environments, use HQ, and for larger room environments, or the highest audio setting, use XHQ.
MICROPHONE LEVEL SETTING
Adjust the microphone sensitivity level suitable for voice-activated recording to respond accordingly to the environment, for example; increase the microphone setting to heighten sensitivity in low noise areas, or decrease the microphone setting in areas where a cough, a door creaking or passing traffic would typically trigger the device to record. By adjusting the microphone level will help eliminate false trigger recordings, preserve battery performance, and save storage space.
Please note that syncing the time and date, and adjusting the sound quality and microphone settings can only be done using a Windows computer with the supplied easy-to-use software.
WINDOWS AND MAC COMPATIBLE
The Pocket USB Recorder can be recharged, and audio files accessed and played back on a Windows and Mac computer. The recorder is digital without moving parts. There are no LED's, sounds, or vibrations while recording.
EARPHONE SUPPORT FOR AUDIO PLAYBACK WHILE TRAVELLING
The USB Recorder comes with supplied earphones, or you may use your own earphones to playback recorded audio files. Load up a library of your favorite music songs and use it as an MP3 player too. The USB Recorder can also be used as a 'Mass Storage Device' to safe keep personal documents, images, and videos for transportation from location A to location B.

IS IT EASY TO START AND STOP RECORDINGS?
Yes. A single slide switch located at the side of the device will enable voice-activated recording or continuous recording, depending on the direction you slide the switch.
HOW SMALL IS THE POCKET ROCKET USB DEVICE?
It's a very small audio recorder, measuring just 55 mm (just over 2 inches) in length. The supplied metal clip can be attached to the device to ensure it remains firmly in place inside a pocket etc.
HOW LONG CAN THE DEVICE RECORD FOR?
A maximum of 18 hours in HQ and 15 hours in XHQ. If you connect the device to a computer, the recording time will keep going until the 8 GB storage capacity is reached, i.e., 288 hours in HQ and 144 hours in XHQ.
WILL I BE SATISFIED WITH THE AUDIO QUALITY?
The device will record in MP3 encoding, which is an excellent format, and at a maximum of 128 KBPS, which provides super clear audio.
WHAT ABOUT WHEN I AM TRAVELLING, CAN I STILL PLAYBACK AUDIO RECORDINGS?
Yes. You can connect the supplied earphones, or connect your own earphones to the device and listen to audio while on the go.
DOES THE POCKET ROCKET USB RECORDER TIME STAMP EACH AUDIO RECORDING?
Yes. Each audio file will display the time and date of each recording, so that you may keep a log of accurate timescales.
CAN I CHANGE THE AUDIO RECORDING QUALITY?
Yes. The supplied software for Windows computers allows you to easily change the recording quality between high quality (HQ) and extra high quality (XHQ). For example, when recording in small rooms and vehicles, the device need only be used in HQ mode. For larger rooms, more vast spaces, or when only the highest audio quality is required, use XHQ mode.
CAN I CHANGE THE SENSITIVITY LEVEL OF THE MICROPHONE?
Yes. This function is designed for voice-activated recording. For small rooms and cars, the sensitivity need only be set at low. For larger rooms or for detecting conversations at further distances, the sensitivity can be set to high.
Note: The selectable options to set the time and date, change the audio sound between HQ and XHQ, and change the microphone sensitivity levels can only be done on Windows computers.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN USING VOICE-ACTIVATED RECORDING AND CONTINUOUS RECORDING?
Voice-activated recording is best used when you are absent from a vehicle or room, or when you know a conversation that you need to capture is likely to take place while you are gone. Voice-activated recording helps the device to conserve battery and storage space by not recording when the environment is silent.
Continuous recording is best used for meetings, including one-to-one or around the table group meetings, so all the conversation is recorded in its entirety. Continuous recording (or manual recording as it can otherwise be referred to) is ideal when you need to begin recording audio 'on-demand'.
HOW DO I GAIN ACCESS TO THE STORED AUDIO FILES?
Connect the supplied USB connector to the device and then connect to a Windows or Mac computer to recharge the device and access the 'Record' folder. Recorded audio files will be chronologically displayed and optionally time and date stamped for easy reference. No special software is required to playback audio files.
You may also make changes through the Windows software to the time and date, audio quality, and microphone sensitivity levels.

EXPEDITED SHIPPING
Your parcel is despatched with an estimated delivery time of 3-5 days and a flat shipping fee of £49.00.
Deliveries to the EU and other worldwide destinations are not guaranteed within the stated timescales. Customs and Excise in the receiving country may subject your parcel to charges outside our control.
