PIR Sensor; with Real-Time WiFi Viewing, Motion Activation Recording and Push Notifications
A PIR Sensor is a great way to incorporate a WiFi surveillance security camera into your office, workshop or outbuilding. When fitted to a flat surface wall or corner of the room, looks inconspicuous and authentic. Powered by an internal fully rechargeable battery, the PIR is entirely portable and wire-free and can be mounted and dismounted from the wall anytime. The PIR does not require connecting to a mains power due to super low power management, which provides approximately 30 days of operational time (per charge). The camera provides remote CCTV live viewing and recording through a smartphone and from anywhere in the world.
Imagine you receive a Push Notification that movement has been triggered while travelling. Launch the smartphone app and live view the activity. Was it something to be concerned about? Tap the record button or take a picture snapshot as evidence.
ANDROID | iOS SMARTPHONE APP
Available to download from the Google Play | Apple Store, the smartphone app puts you in full control of the PIR's surveillance camera at the tap of a button. You can enable push notifications so your smartphone will receive an on-screen alert when the camera detects movement while recording 60 seconds of burst video evidence. Recorded footage can be accessed through the app and backed up to an optional removable Micro SD card fitted inside the PIR Sensor. Launch the app to watch real-time activity, record the room environment, take picture snapshots, set up scheduled recording times, and playback captured video footage.
Note: The intelligent motion detection sensor will only trigger the full 60-seconds of recording if the movement continues for 5 seconds or longer. Less than 5 seconds of movement and the recording will stop after 10-15 seconds to reduce false triggers and save storage space and battery performance.
OUTSTANDING BATTERY PERFORMANCE
The camera is powered by a 4'200 mAh internal battery that provides up to 30 days of working time. A helpful battery indicator is shown on the smartphone app so you know when the camera requires recharging. Battery performance will vary depending on the number of recordings, the length of each recording, and how often you launch the app to live view; however, up to 30 days is a fantastic performance from a single charge!
Charging the PIR Sensor is easy by dismounting the unit from the wall and connecting the unit to mains power. An LED indicator will advise when the PIR Sensor has achieved full charge. Then mount the PIR back onto the wall to continue remote surveillance.

WHY USE A PIR SENSOR CAMERA?
The PIR is mounted high on a wall, out of people's reach and less likely to be noticed due to its popularity as a sensor product. The PIR is a great product if you need to:

No SD card is supplied with this product; however, an option to purchase a 16 GB or 32 GB card is available from the menu above.

WHERE SHOULD I DEPLOY THE PIR SENSOR?
Ideally, the PIR should be fitted high up and in the corner of a room so that the camera looks downwards to view the activity below. A pre-cut hole which normally houses a PIR's LED, is replaced with the camera. The PIR comes supplied with a 'Ball and Joint' bracket that allows you to rotate the PIR to get the best viewing angle. The PIR can be mounted and dismounted by easily lifting off the bracket without having to unscrew the bracket from the wall.
DOES THE PIR FUNCTION AS A NORMAL SENSOR?
No. Due to the in-built camera and power source, the PIR does not operate as a functional unit.
HOW IS THE CAMERA POWERED?
An integrated, fully rechargeable 4'200 mAh battery provides around 30 days of operation time. This is a HUGE amount of battery performance for a standalone WiFi camera. When the PIR battery requires recharging (indicated through the smartphone app), the unit can be removed from the wall bracket and connected to a mains power via the supplied charger.
HOW DO I ACCESS CAPTURED VIDEO FOOTAGE?
An internal Micro SD card of up to 32 GB can be fitted into the PIR Sensor to store recorded footage. You can remotely view the footage stored on the SD card on your smartphone and transfer video files from the SD card to your smartphone. Alternatively, you can remove the card from the PIR Sensor and play the recordings on a Windows or Mac computer.
REALISTICALLY, WHAT DURATION CAN BE ACHIEVED WITH RECORDING TIME?
The camera is designed to record in 60-second bursts when each motion is detected. Therefore, the number of video files that can be stored will vary depending on the SD card size and how many times the movement is recorded. In our tests, we achieved 33 days of operational time, including a few push notifications to our smartphone when the camera detected movement.
To maximise the battery, you should use this product for surveillance monitoring, whereby you do not need to keep launching the app to live view the camera or tap the record button. Instead, trust the camera to monitor, record activity, and send you a push notification upon movement.
WHY IS EACH RECORDING DURATION ONLY 60-SECONDS?
To maximise battery performance to a realistic 30 operational days, the recording length of each motion activation is limited to 60-second bursts. If there is movement after 60-seconds, the camera will continue to record by creating a new video file for a further 60-seconds... and so on.

CAN THE PIR SENSOR WORK AS A SELF-RECORDING CAMERA WITHOUT USING WIFI?
No. The camera is designed to work only when connected to a WiFi network (office, home) and with the smartphone app, available to download to iOS and Android devices. Setup and connection are very easy without wiring or fiddly configurations. Ideal for remotely monitoring a stockroom, corridor or hallway where the camera is fitted out of reach.
DOES THE PIR SUPPORT SCHEDULE MOTION RECORDING?
Yes. Through the smartphone app, you can select times for any day of the week or all days of the week to enable recording when motion is detected between certain times; for example: detect movement only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays between 09:00 am - 13:00.
IS IT POSSIBLE OTHER PEOPLE COULD UNKNOWINGLY CONNECT TO THE CAMERA?
No. The PIR Sensor Camera hides its SSID (name) from being discoverable when people search for WiFi devices. The camera is password protected and must also use the associated smartphone app.
HOW GOOD IS THE VIDEO RESOLUTION ON MY SMARTPHONE?
The image is pin-sharp at HD 1080P, and video footage is accompanied by audio which can be switched OFF / ON through the app. It should be noted to maximise battery performance, the frame rate (FPS) is automatic and will stream a couple of seconds slower.
