(1 review)
This generic-looking PIR Sensor is commonly found out of reach in the corners of homes and offices; however, this model records ultra HD motion-activated video from an ariel position, ideal for filming untoward activity or ensuring the welfare of your vulnerable loved ones. There are many good uses for gathering video evidence at home or the workplace to confirm or quash your concerns. The built-in fully rechargeable battery powers the surveillance camera for approx. three months (90-day standby time) - an outstanding length of time - and stores the recorded footage in super-high 2K resolution to a removable SD card that can be played on a Windows or Mac computer. Video files are accompanied by audio and an evidential time and date stamp.
Details
A wire-free PIR; with 2K Resolution Video and Motion Activated Recording
This PIR Sensor can be fitted to the corner of most indoor room environments to surveillance your premises and gather video evidence from an aerial perspective to confirm or quash your concerns. The built-in high-resolution 2K motion-activated camera is ready to capture events when movement below is detected. The PIR Sensor is completely wire-free and portable, making it an ideal surveillance camera to watch over the office, home, office, hallway, and garage and even as a security surveillance camera for your hotel room when you are absent.
All video footage is accompanied by audio and a time and date stamp for evidence.
LOW POWER MANAGEMENT
The PIR Sensor Recording DVR Camera has a fully rechargeable, 4000 mAh battery that powers the motion-activated camera for approx. 3 months - a generous 90 days of standby time which is more than ample for most clients who may be vacant over long periods.
The PIR slides OFF/ON from the wall bracket to recharge the battery and is connected to a mains power supply. An LED located on the DVR will indicate the charging status.
Note: 3-month standby time is the total time the camera will actively monitor for movement without being triggered to record. Realistically, if there is no movement after 2.5 months, there will still be enough power remaining to record events. The overall standby time will gradually reduce depending on how many times the camera has been triggered to record over that period.
MOTION DETECTION RECORDING
By default, the PIR Sensor spy cam is ready to record when motion is triggered from directly below the camera lens. The PIR Sensor can be rotated on the bracket for the best viewing angle, and the pinhole camera provides a 65-degree field of view. Each motion detection will trigger the camera to record in one-minute durations, saving the video file to a removable SD card. After one minute, if there is no further movement, the camera returns to standby, waiting for the next motion detection. The cycle will continue until the SD card is full.
Although this camera is designed for motion detection, it can also record continuously for three hours, should you wish to record without pauses throughout the recording. Continuous recording is saved in three-minute file durations to a removable SD card (not supplied).
Using a 32 GB card, the DVR can store approx. 176 video files. A 128 GB SD card can store approx. 704 video files.
OUT OF SIGHT AND OUT OF MIND
Workshops, offices and homes commonly have at least one PIR Sensor on the premises; therefore, this product would naturally blend into the surroundings. The PIR Sensor can be hooked ON/OFF the supplied wall bracket so the camera can observe and record the events below.
FOB REMOTE CONTROL
A small remote fob switches the recording camera ON/OFF and is supplied with the PIR Sensor. The fob is very easy to use, and a subtle LED on the DVR acknowledges the button/s pressed from the remote fob.
The PIR Sensor works straight out of the box and is user-friendly, with fast deployment and excellent battery performance. The video capture produces razor-sharp footage to support evidence in sometimes fragile situations.
Note: A USB mains plug (not supplied) is required to recharge the PIR Sensor from a mains power, or you may optionally purchase a genuine Apple USB mains plug from the menu above.
More Information
F.A.Q's
WILL THE PIR SENSOR PASS BY VISUAL APPEARANCE?
Yes. The PIR looks like any other, and when mounted to the ceiling in the corner of a room, its appearance will blend with the environment.
IS IT EASY TO FIX THE PIR TO A WALL?
Yes. You are supplied with brackets that are screwed to a flat wall surface, and then the PIR slots ON and OFF the brackets any time. This makes the product ideal for charging and accessing SD card-stored files.
CAN YOU SEE ANY EXTERNAL SWITCHES OR WIRING?
No. The unit is self-contained, and the recording mechanism is professionally built inside the PIR Sensor; therefore, it can be deployed in most indoor environments without drawing attention from the people below.
DOES THE PIR SENSOR FUNCTION NORMALLY?
No. Due to the internal recording and storage mechanism, the unit is a dummy working PIR.
IS THE CAMERA EASY TO OPERATE?
Yes. You are supplied with a pre-configured DVR (digital video recorder) and a small remote fob. Only two buttons on the fob are used - the Power ON/OFF button and the motion-activation recording button. The product works straight out of the box. The entire operation of the camera is easy, and no technical skill is required.
Note: Continuous recording is a bonus, but for a maximum of three hours of recording (video files are split into 3-minute durations).
HOW GOOD IS THE RECORDED VIDEO?
The 4.0-megapixel camera lens produces crisp HD 2K video resolution @ 30 FPS (frames per second). 2K is pin-sharp and has a higher resolution than 1080P resolution. All video footage is accompanied by clear audio and a time and date stamp.
HOW DO I POWER THE PIR CAMERA?
Integrated within the PIR Sensor is a 4000 mAh rechargeable battery that powers the camera for approx. three months (90 days) on standby. Standby time means the total amount of time the camera will remain powered and ready to capture motion-activated events before a recharge is required. Realistically, if there is no movement for around two months - the camera will still have sufficient battery power to continue actively monitoring the area for movement,
Note: The overall standby time will gradually be reduced depending on conditions such as how often the camera is triggered to record and indoor room temperature. Heat and cold can affect the battery, and recording will consume more battery performance than when on standby.
IS THE PRODUCT SUPPLIED WITH COMPUTER SOFTWARE?
No. The design of the PIR Camera has been made for ease of use - without computer software. However, you will require a Windows or Mac computer with an SD card slot or reader that plugs into a computer port or any other compatible SD card media player to play back the video files.
We recommend installing the FREE VLC Player from videolan.org, which supports all video and audio media formats.
HOW DO I RECHARGE THE BATTERY?
The PIR Sensor must be charged from a mains power with the supplied USB cable and USB mains plug. We optionally offer a genuine Apple USB main plug from the menu above.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM SD CARD CAPACITY I CAN USE?
The maximum size is 128 GB - enough storage to hold 704 video files; each motion-triggered recording is stored in one-minute durations. That equates to 11 hours of motion-activated video footage.
HOW DO I SET THE TIME AND DATE?
A 'time' file is dropped in the record folder - it's that easy! We provide full instructions on the product, including how to set the time and date.
