Small Surveillance Black Box; with HD 1080P Video Recording
This is a gem of a CCTV spy camera. Small in size, the portable Black box will capture untoward activity in your home or office and even through windows onto your lawn or driveway. The unit can also be deployed between books or sat on a shelf, pointing towards the area of concern. The Micro HD Black Box Recorder has continuous recording and motion-activated recording modes with a standby time of up to 25 days. The possibilities to gather secret video evidence with this recording marvel are endless.
FULL HD 1080P VIDEO RESOLUTION
Film footage is recorded to a removable Micro SD card in full 1080P resolution accompanied with clear audio. To view recordings, remove the SD card from within the unit and playback the footage shown with a time and date stamp on a computer.
The camera can bypass the reflective glare of glass, making it ideal for monitoring and recording through a window during daylight hours. Capture activity in the front driveway or the rear patio of your house, or perhaps mount the camera within your vehicle looking through the windscreen or rear window onto your property.
25 DAY MOTION-ACTIVATED RECORDING
The Black Box supports motion-activated and continuous recording modes. Enable continuous recording to capture up to 9 hours non-stop. Video files can be split into 10, 15 or 20-minute recording durations depending on your preference. Continuous recording is a great option when you absolutely need to capture a set period of time without any gaps in recording, for example, during a meeting or an event.
Enable motion-activated recording, and the Black Box can monitor the room environment for up to 25 days. This recording mode is advantageous when you know something may happen but do not know the date or time in advance.
Note: Standby time is reduced when recording takes place. For example, if there has been no recording for 24 days and then a person walks into your room, the camera will have just enough battery power remaining to record the event. More activity that causes the camera to record will reduce the overall standby time.
SD CARD STORAGE
The Micro Black Box accepts SD cards with up to 256 GB which is enough storage to hold 156 hours of the highest quality HD video. It is doubtful you would want to use this amount of storage because it is wise to review footage regularly and erase files you do not wish to keep.
Note: The option to purchase a 16 GB or 32 GB card from the menu above.
WINDOWS AND MAC COMPATIBLE
The Black Box Recorder is supplied with Windows and Mac compatible software that allows you to pre-set the camera before deployment. Settings can be enabled/disabled by tapping each selectable option, including; LED's, sound, recording mode, recording quality, recording duration, camera resolution, camera sensitivity, camera orientation (if turning the black box upside down) and time and date. No technical skill is required.
OPTIONAL 15 CM RIBBON CAMERA
The Black Box can be supplied permanently fitted with a 15 cm ribbon camera and ribbon motion sensor. This option can help provide flexibility where the DVR's body is out of sight, and the camera head and motion sensor 'peek' under or over objects. With a little creativity, the unit can be housed, for example, inside a tissue box or other item which will help you gather video evidence. Please see the 'More Information' tab for further details.
OPTIONAL 10'000 MAH POWER BANK
The Micro Black Box can be connected to a Power Bank further to enhance standby and recording by 2-3 times. We offer a super-compact 10'000 mAh Power Bank from the menu above. The Power Bank is an essential accessory, not just for the Micro HD Black Box, but for other mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets and iPods - or crucial for times when you need to power or recharge devices while on the go.

WHAT SIZE IS THE BLACK BOX RECORDER?
The dimensions are just 100 x 37 x 25 mm and small enough to blend amongst items. The camera could also be DIY modified and concealed within objects, for example, a tissue box or a stand.
WHAT IS THE RECORDING QUALITY?
The camera records in full 1080P HD video resolution.
HOW EASY IS THE UNIT TO OPERATE?
A push-button switches the unit ON/OFF and records according to the settings you have pre-set using the supplied software. The software is compatible with Windows and Mac computers and has a user-friendly interface with selectable options.
Note: The software allows you to enable/disable many of the Black Box's features, including; audio, LED's, time and date, recording mode, recording duration, recording quality, video resolution, camera sensitivity and camera orientation. Settings are applied by tapping each selectable option. No technical skill is required.
IS AUDIO SUPPORTED?
Yes. The audio can be enabled/disabled using the supplied software for both Windows and Mac.
CAN THE BLACK BOX RECORD THROUGH A WINDOW?
Yes. The camera can monitor and record through a pane of glass, making it ideal for looking out onto your garden or shed or perhaps placed in your vehicle looking through either the front windscreen or rear window.
Note: The camera does not support night vision; therefore, it can not monitor and record during darkness.
WHY WOULD I WANT THE 15 CM RIBBON CAMERA?
The camera head and PIR Sensor are fitted to the end of flexible 15 cm ribbons to provide additional versatility for a DIY hide.
It should be noted that two separate 15 cm ribbons are fitted (the camera and the PIR motion sensor). You do not need to point the motion sensor in the same direction as the camera. For example; Let's assume you wish to capture events from inside your vehicle looking through the rear window. Position the ribbon with the PIR motion sensor facing the front windscreen and the ribbon with the camera facing the rear window. When a person walks towards the front of your vehicle, the PIR Sensor triggers the camera to begin recording through the rear window.
HOW LONG CAN I EXPECT THE BATTERY TO LAST?
A fully charged battery can provide:
- Continuous recording for 9 hours
- Motion-activated recording with a 25 day standby time.
Note: Standby time = actively monitoring but has not been triggered to record. For example; If the Black Box is monitoring your room while you are absent and somebody walks in after 24 days, there will be just enough battery remaining to capture the event.
CAN I CONNECT A POWER BANK TO INCREASE THE BATTERY PERFORMANCE?
Yes. We can supply a 10'000 mAh Power Bank to connect to the Black Box to increase the standby time to 75 days. The Power Bank can also be used to charge your Android | iPhone plus other electrical devices and can be purchased separately from the menu above.
DOES THE BLACK BOX MAKE ANY NOISE WHILE RECORDING?
No. Due to the absence of moving parts, there are no sounds, beeps, or indicators that would draw attention to the unit.
WHERE IS THE VIDEO FOOTAGE STORED?
The Black Box accepts a Micro SD card up to 256 GB, enough to store 156 hours in full HD quality. The SD card can be removed from the device, and the recorded video footage played on a computer or other compatible SD card player with a screen display.
CAN I ADJUST THE VIDEO RESOLUTION?
Yes. The video quality can be changed using the software between high, medium and low. The higher the video quality, the more storage space is required. For example;
- The highest recording (1080P quality) will use 3 GB of storage per hour
- The medium recording will use 2 GB of storage per hour
- The lowest recording will use 1.5 GB of storage per hour
CAN I ENABLE A TIME AND DATE STAMP?
Yes. The supplied software will sync the time and date from your computer to the Black Box and stamp each recorded video file with the correct time and date.
