Mains Powered GSM Socket Lead; with 4G LIVE Audio Listening and Sound Detection
The GSM Socket Lead powers small office and home electrical appliances as usual; however, it also contains a highly sensitive and professional audio microphone and a 4G SIM card. You can call the number from a mobile or landline anytime to listen to the surrounding room environment. There are no distance limitations; you can call the GSM Socket Lead from anywhere in the world, and the microphone will pick up conversations and sounds from approximately 20-25 feet around the unit.
If you use a pair of Apple AirPods, the audio sound is enhanced with higher clarity. You will notice a suitable difference between listening on your smartphone and listening through a pair of Apple AirPods. Conversations can be easily picked up at distances exceeding 25 feet, depending on the room's ambience. Other brand earphones may be equally as good.
The Listening Extension Gang Lead externally looks like a normal socket lead, so it can be visually examined without raising suspicion. No batteries or recharging are required, providing very long-term mains-powered audio surveillance.
4G NETWORK COMPATIBLE
Be cautious of poor-quality imitations. While they may work in principle, low prices often lead to shoddy craftsmanship and a limited lifespan. SOUND DETECTION FEATURE
This optional feature can be enabled or disabled by sending a coded SMS from a smartphone to the Socket Lead. When enabled, the microphone will monitor the room level and call your mobile phone when it detects sound above an average -50 Db threshold. This feature is a smart way to know when someone has entered your room or if an activity occurs when you are absent without constantly calling in to check.
Note: A 4G SIM card is pre-fitted; however, if you purchase the optional Sound Detection feature, you must top up the associated SIM card with credit (or any SIM card that you use) for this feature to function. No top-up credit is supplied.
RECORD THE AUDIO AS EVIDENCE
If you wish to record the audio you hear through the GSM Socket Lead, consider the iPhone / Smartphone Mobile Call Recorder. This clever device uses Bluetooth technology to sync with any Bluetooth 3.0 compatible modern smartphone, allowing the conversation you hear through the Socket's microphone to be recorded onto the Call Recorder device.
The Call Recorder's primary function is designed to record both sides of a mobile phone call and works equally well for the GSM Socket. The Call Recorder also functions as a standalone digital voice recorder, should you wish to use it as an additional evidence-gathering tool.

CAN I USE THE SOCKET LEAD TO POWER OTHER SMALL ELECTRICAL ITEMS?
Yes. The GSM socket Lead is functional and operates as a standard working appliance to power small electrical items like smartphones or table lamps. However, it is not recommended to plug large appliances, such as a fridge or TV, into it.
CAN I LISTEN TO THE SURROUNDING AREA OF MY OFFICE?
Yes. Plug the Socket Lead into a functioning mains power, then call the supplied SIM card number. The microphone inside the Socket will enable you to hear the surrounding audio. The listening quality is static and interference-free, so you can record the call as evidence if needed.
The audio sound is amazingly clear if you insert a pair of Apple AirPods. You will hear a pleasant difference between listening on your smartphone and listening with a pair of Apple AirPods. Other brand earphones may be equally as good.
WHAT ABOUT BACKGROUND FUZZ OR INTERFERENCE WHEN LISTENING?
Only if you purchase an inferior product. Our GSM Socket Lead is a professionally hand-made unit that supports all 4G networks, so you can futureproof your purchase.
CAN THE DEVICE CALL MY PHONE WHEN SOUND IS DETECTED?
Sound Detection is an optional feature that can be enabled or disabled by sending coded SMS messages from a smartphone. When the feature is enabled, the Socket Lead will actively monitor the room levels for sound above -50 Db (the average room threshold) and notify you accordingly.
Note: The associated SIM card will need top-up credit to alert a smartphone when a sound is detected. No top-up credit is provided.
CAN I MONITOR MY ROOM WHILE TRAVELLING OVERSEAS?
Yes. As long as your smartphone has a good GSM signal, you can call the GSM Socket Lead. The Socket also accepts incoming calls from a VOIP system, like Skype, making overseas calling charges almost negligible.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE SOCKET LEAD IS DISCONNECTED FROM POWER?
The socket lead does not rely on batteries or recharging but needs a connection to the main power source.
WHAT IS THE REALISTIC DISTANCE I CAN HEAR FROM THE GSM SOCKET?
The audio microphone can pick up clear sound from about 20-25 feet away, and the listening clarity depends on the room conditions.
HOW LONG CAN I MONITOR THE AUDIO FOR?
The Socket Lead is always operational and ready to receive your incoming call. Calling the GSM Socket from any smartphone, landline, or VOIP system is the same as calling a friend's number. Remember, your call to the Adapter is chargeable, like a standard call, unless you use VOIP or have free calling minutes.

SATURDAY DELIVERY
We offer Saturday delivery by Royal Mail Special and DPD Courier, provided your order is received no later than 12 noon on Friday. If your order is received after 12:00 noon on Friday, we cannot despatch for Saturday delivery.
Your parcel will be couriered and fully trackable by UPS or FedEx for orders despatched to EU countries and other worldwide destinations. If you have a specific preference of courier please let us know before placing an order.
STANDARD SHIPPING
Your parcel is despatched with an estimated delivery time of 4-6 working days and a flat shipping fee of £39.00.
EXPEDITED SHIPPING
Your parcel is despatched with an estimated delivery time of 3-5 days and a flat shipping fee of £49.00.
Deliveries to the EU and other worldwide destinations are not guaranteed within the stated timescales. Customs and Excise in the receiving country may subject your parcel to charges outside our control.
Sometimes, the delivery destination can exceed the flat-rate shipping fee. We try to absorb additional shipping fees; however, in a minority of cases, this may not be possible due to our small margins, and we may need to touch base with you before dispatch to discuss further options.
