Flash Drive USB Audio Recorder; with 18 Hours Recording and Time and Date Stamp
Another splendid audio recording device with outstanding performance for the most demanding situations. The USB Flash Drive can be used to store documents and files as normal without any indications of being a surveillance digital voice recorder. Two recording modes; Continuous and Voice Activation can be covertly enabled under natural movement. Either recording mode can be enabled swiftly and under the noses of the most observant person/s.
LONG RECORDING TIMES
The Flash Drive USB can record for up to 18 hours on a single charge and an integrated 8 GB storage can hold up to 288 hours of audio or 9999 files - whichever reaches capacity first. A touch switch recording mechanism activates the microphone to capture room or vehicle environments with exceptional clarity and an AGC (gain control) automatically adjusts the sound balance to accommodate close up recording and recording at a distance without audio distortion.
The device can also record when plugged into a Windows or Mac computer, then capable of recording until the 8 GB / 288 hours storage capacity is full. Continuous recording up to 12 days whilst Voice Activation can record for substancially longer over many weeks and months depending on noise activity.
MICROPHONE LEVEL SETTING
For Windows users, a new feature of the Flash Drive USB allows you to change audio quality between HQ (high quality) and XHQ (extra high quality). HQ setting uses less battery resources when recording and is best suited for use in smaller environments for example; inside a car or a small room. XHQ setting produces the sharpest sound but uses more battery resources and is best used for larger room environments.
Additionally, the microphone sensitivity level can be adjusted. For example: lowering the sensitivity lessens the Flash Drive's ability to detect sounds such as a quiet cough or passing traffic or a door creak. Increasing the sensitivity heightens the microphone to detect quieter sound levels.
It is a recommendation to use the software program 'Boom 2' or 'Boom 3D' (available from the App Store), which hugely enhances the audio experience when playing audio through computer speakers. In our tests there was a substancial and noticable improvement when using Boom to listen to audio play back, clearly hearing sounds approx 25 - 30 ft from where the USB had been placed.
TIME AND DATE STAMP RECORDING
This optional function can be enabled for use when you need to know when each audio file was created thus helping to resolve disputes by providing an accurate timeframe or just for memory recap of when a situation took place.
Note: Syncing the time and date to the USB Flash Drive and adjusting microphone sensitivity settings can only be done using a Windows computer with the supplied easy-to-use software.

Each audio file is saved in MP3 format @ 128 KBPS for superior sound quality.
WINDOWS AND MAC COMPATIBLE
The USB Drive can be recharged, the audio files accessed and played back on a Windows or Mac computer and without any special software. To set the time / date and adjust the microphone level, the supplied software is compatible with Windows only.

DOES THE FLASH DRIVE USB LOOK NORMAL?
Yes. You can use the USB Flash Drive as a normal mass storage device and freely display without showing any indication it is also a digital voice recorder. Due to the absence of moving parts the USB device will not show LED's, noises or vibration during recording.
HOW DO I START AND STOP RECORDING?
The USB Flash Drive conceals the recording mechanism inside the loop at the top and when rotated left or right enables the recording mode ie: continuous recording or voice activated recording.
DOES THE USB FLASH DRIVE LOG EACH AUDIO FILE WITH A TIME AND DATE?
Yes. Windows users can take advantage of the supplied software which enables you to conveniently set the time and date but also adjust the microphone sensitivity level too! Recharging the USB Flash Drive and audio play back can be done on any computer ie; Windows or Mac.
HOW MANY HOURS DOES THE USB FLASH DRIVE RECORD FOR?
18 hours in HQ (high quality) and 15 hours in XHQ (extra high quality).
IF I CONNECT THE USB FLASH DRIVE TO MY COMPUTER, CAN IT RECORD FOR LONGER?
Yes. By plugging the device into a computer and enabling recording, the USB Flash Drive will obtain its power through a computer for the full duration of it's eight (8) GB memory which is enough to store 288 hours of audio recording in HQ (high quality) or 288 hours in XHQ (extra high quality).
Realistically, providing a computer remains powered, a possible 12 days of continuous audio recording and potentially many months using voice activation recording.
HOW GOOD IS THE RECORDING QUALITY?
The device records in MP3 format using a maximum 128 KBPS for super clear audio quality. You will be very pleasantly impressed by how clear audio recordings are and the range of the microphone.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VOICE ACTIVATION AND MANUAL RECORDING?
Continuous recording is best enabled when you enter a meeting or need to record throughout the duration of a one-to-one or group conversation. Continuous recording is also ideal when you need to instantly capture audio 'on demand'.
Voice activated recording is best enabled when you are going to be absent from a room or vehicle for a period of time or when you know a conversation will take place but do not know the time. Voice activation will conserve battery power by not recording when the vehicle or room is silent, and then commences recording when audio sound is triggered for example; when a meeting is about to take place.
HOW DO I ACCESS STORED RECORDINGS?
Simply connect the USB Flash Drive to a computer (Windows or Mac) to access the 'Record' folder which contains the recorded audio files. Audio files will be listed in chronological order and optionally stamped with the time and date when each audio file commenced for easy reference. No special software is required to play back audio files.
