The Desk Clock provides surveilance and security monitoring of your home | office while retaining its normal functionality as a digital clock with alarm function. The Desk Clock is very small, measuring just 110 (L) x 55 (W) x 55 (D) mm, and completely mains-free making it suitable for most room environments and as a smart travel accessory. When the camera is connected to a WiFi network, you can remotely view and record video footage on your smartphone from anywhere in the world - and due to the camera's invisible night vision, you can watch LIVE and capture events in complete darkness!
8-WEEK BATTERY STANDBY WITH NIGHT VISION
Once fully charged, the Desk Clock can remain powered for 8 weeks to monitor activity 24-hours a day. At any time, you can remotely watch and record HD resolution colour footage, automatically switching to invisible infra-red night vision to produce clear black and white footage during twilight hours.
Note: Standby means the amount of time the Desk Clock can remain powered in an active monitoring state but not live viewing, recording or sending push notifications. These actions draw battery consumption and will gradually reduce the overall standby time. In our tests, we comfortably achieved approx. 30 days of active use before a recharge was required. The camera can far exceed 30 days depending on usage.

FREE ANDROID | iOS SMARTPHONE APP
The smartphone app is the control hub for the Desk Clock Camera and provides easy navigation with a user-friendly interface. You can view, record for a few minutes and take picture snapshots for instant playback through the app, or enable motion-activated recording to store longer video files to a Micro SD card. Plus... the app has a built-in calendar for fast navigation to all stored video and snapshot content. Tap the calendar and navigate to a particular date to access archived videos and snapshots.
INVISIBLE SSID
For peace of mind, when the Desk Clock Camera is connected to a WiFi network, the SSID does not display, thus remaining from apparent discovery by third parties searching for WiFi-connected devices.
MICRO SD CARD BACKUP
The Desk Clock supports Micro SD cards up to 64 GB (maximum) and provides peace of mind that your recordings are safely stored if you accidentally delete the camera from the app or delete the app from your smartphone. Short burst video recordings and picture snapshots that are manually taken without an SD card can be accessed via the app's calendar for 7 days. Motion-activated video recording requires an SD card inserting due to the amount of storage required.
Note: Motion-activated recordings stored on an SD card can not be played back through the app. You must physically retrieve the card and playback files on a computer or other SD Media Player.

HOW IS THE DESK CLOCK CAMERA POWERED?
2x 2600 mAh batteries power the digital clock. Charging takes approx. 8-10 hours, and an LED will indicate when the unit is fully charged.
DOES THE UNIT FUNCTION AS A NORMAL DIGITAL CLOCK?
Yes. You can set the time and date display in 12 and 24-hour and set an alarm function making this product ideal as a travel accessory too.

IS IT OBVIOUS THE DESK CLOCK HAS A SPY CAMERA?
The Desk Clock looks casual and smart and does not scream 'spy camera' although closer visual examination will reveal its surveillance capabilities. It should be used for general home | office | hotel CCTV etc rather than used for sensitive evidence gathering.
HOW LONG CAN THE DESK CLOCK OPERATE ON A FULL CHARGE?
Fully charged batteries will power the Desk Clock for approx 8-weeks standby time. Standby time = actively monitoring but not live viewing, recording or sending push notifications to your smartphone. 8-weeks is an excellent standby time; however, most people will operate the camera frequently; therefore, the original standby time will reduce depending on usage. In our tests, we comfortably achieved 30 days of active operation with a combination of live viewing, receiving motion-activated push notifications and downloading recorded video clips to our smartphone before a recharge was needed.
WHAT ARE THE RECORDING MODES OF THE DESK CLOCK CAMERA?
The most popular recording option is motion detection recording. You can disable motion recording from within the smartphone app and manually record for a few minutes at a time to gather evidence. To further fine-tune the recording, you can enable 'Alarm Schedule' so the camera will actively monitor the room environment for movement between a preset start and end time that you specify. For example, you can set the camera to record when motion is detected during the daytime hours of 09:00 - 11:00 am and not actively monitor outside of these hours.
DOES THE DESK CLOCK REQUIRE CONNECTING TO A WIFI NETWORK AND USING THE SMARTPHONE APP?
Yes. The Desk Clock is a surveillance WiFi camera that requires connecting to your office | home network (or mobile hotspot device). The camera is controlled from your smartphone by the FREE app available to download from the Google Play | Apple Store.
THERE IS NO WIFI NETWORK IN THE AREA OF CONCERN?
You can create a WiFi network by connecting the Desk Clock to a mobile hotspot, also referred to as tethering, using an iPhone | iPad etc, with an active 4G data SIM card. Alternatively, the Desk Clock can connect to a portable 4G LTE MiFi router with an active 4G data SIM card.
IS THE RECORDING QUALITY AND LIVE STREAMING DECENT?
Yes. The camera has a 2.0-megapixel 1080P video resolution streaming @ 15 FPS (frames per second). Real-time movement may lag slightly behind live movement depending on the speed and stability of the WiFi network the camera is connected to and because of the purposeful way the camera maximises power consumption.
HOW DO I ACCESS RECORDED VIDEO FILES?
Video footage and snapshots captured through manual recording are stored and accessible through the smartphone app for 7 days without an SD card fitted. By inserting a Micro SD card (not supplied), the camera can store motion-activated video recordings, but these recordings are only accessible by physical access to the SD card. The contents of the card can then be played back on a computer or other SD Media Player.
