Details

A Portable Self Contained Carbon Monoxide Unit; with HD 720P Video Recording

A new addition to our hand built spy equipment range is this portable Carbon Monoxide unit which cleverly incorporates a colour 720P HD video camera.  This unit is professionally engineered for a reliable performance with a clean & tidy finish design.  Simply fit the Carbon Monoxide HD DVR to a wall surface within the target location and the unit is ready to capture pin sharp video footage whenever movement is detected within the camera lens field-of-view.

As most homes, office buildings and gangways are fitted with some kind of safety device, a Carbon Monoxide unit will not stand out obtrusively thus blending into natural surroundings.  The unit is extremely well designed and can be visually examined which makes it the perfect hidden camera for surveillance and security monitoring purposes.

IMPRESSIVE 7'800 mAh RECHARGEABLE LITHIUM BATTERY

Powered by internal high capacity, and fully rechargeable lithium batteries, the Carbon Monoxide camera can remain powered for up to 4.5 days of standby time and 32 GB of internal memory is sufficient enough to store 16 hours of HD video recording before a recharge is required.

To recharge the Carbon Monoxide, simply remove the device from the wall surface and connect to your computer via the supplied USB cable, or by plugging into a mains wall socket via the supplied Apple mains plug.

The Carbon Monoxide with integrated hidden camera is compatible with Windows and Mac computers and you can select between five (5) different recording modes to suit your preference including:

MOTION MOVEMENT RECORDING

Movement within the cameras 62 degree field-of-view will trigger 10, 15 or 20 minute recording bursts - whichever your preference.

SCHEDULED RECORDING

Specify a time & date in advance to capture video footage during those hours.  Scheduled recording saves valuable battery performance during times that you don't need to record.

VIBRATION RECORDING

A slight nudge or movement of the Carbon Monoxide unit will trigger recording.

AUDIO ACTIVATED RECORDING

The internal microphone actively monitors for sound waves above a preset threshold and then commences recording when triggered.

CONTINUOUS RECORDING

Record without breaks in the audio recording.  This mode is best suited for short recording cycles because it uses the most battery power but ensures ALL activity is captured.

Recorded video footage is stored in HD 1280 x 720 image resolution accompanied with clear audio.  In addition, the device features an intelligent Auto Switching mode which monitors the lighting conditions within the room and automatically adjusts the picture brightness for best results.

WIDGET SOFTWARE MENU

Supplied with the Carbon Monoxide unit, the Widget software is an easy-to-use module which is compatible with Windows and Mac computers.  By connecting the Carbon Monoxide to your computer (via the supplied USB cable) and then opening the Widget software you can then manually adjust a multitude of recording options.

The Widget software is designed to eliminate any complicated setup procedures which are normally found with other similar products.

The Carbon Monoxide unit can be used as a standalone video recorder fitted to a flat surface wall within an office, kitchen, bedroom, or even a holiday home environment to capture sharp footage for evidence.

Due to the internal camera system, this Carbon Monoxide does NOT function as a working carbon monoxide detector.

Please Note: A USB mains plug (not supplied) will be required to recharge the Carbon Monoxide from a mains power or you may optionally purchase a genuine Apple USB mains plug from the menu above.  A USB mains plug is not a necessity with this product and the Freshener can be charged through a computer instead.

More Information

F.A.Q's
How is the carbon monoxide unit powered?

Powerful fully rechargeable 7'800 mAh lithium cell batteries power the recording mechanism for up to 4.5 days, of which during that time, 16 hours of video footage can be stored to its internal 32 GB memory.

Is it possible to extend the battery performance for each full charge?

Performance is reflected on the settings you have selected.  The higher quality feature settings, the more battery juice will be used.

For example:

  • Using HD video resolution instead of standard 640 x 480 resolution.
  • Audio is enabled.
  • More than one (1) recording mode is used.
  • Enabling the LED mode.
  • Increasing the recording split time (10 minutes to 15 or 20 minutes).
  • Enabling the auto switching feature (day to low light recording).

The more features that are activated together, and the higher the quality settings of features activated will reduce the overall battery performance.

Can you give me an example?

Yes.  Lets assume from within the settings menu you enable motion activated recording with auto switching day / night function.  More battery performance will be used when compared to motion activated recording without auto switching day / night function because the device is constantly monitoring for light changes so it can automatically switch between day & night modes.  To maximise battery performance, do not use the auto switching feature unless it is for very short term use.

What is the quality of recording like?

Selectable HD recording modes between 1280 x 720 resolution and 640 x 320 standard resolution.  When in HD recording mode, the footage is pin sharp with fantastic vivid colours when deployed in an area with good natural light.

Does the carbon monoxide record audio too?

Yes.

How do I recharge the Carbon Monoxide DVR?

The unit can be charged by mains power using a USB mains plug (not supplied) or through a computer USB port.

Can it record in the dark?

No!  Although there is a setting to enable recording in low light conditions, this should not be confused with night vision recording.

Are there any noises the carbon monoxide unit makes?

No.  Due to the absence of moving parts, there are no sounds, beeps, or any indicators that would draw attention.

Where are the video recordings stored?

The device uses an internal storage of 32 GB in capacity and thats where the recorded video files will automatically be stored.  The video files can be played on any Windows or Mac computer.

Can I change the time & date and other settings?

Yes.  You are supplied with both Windows and Mac software.  Simply connect the carbon monoxide unit to your computer then open the software to display the settings menu.  From here you can select different options to configure the device exactly how you want it to work for you.
