This body-worn surveillance camera and recorder disguised as a casual car fob outshines all similar models in terms of build quality and picture resolution. The fob can be carried or attached to your set of keys, boasting a sleek, ergonomic comfort and a metal black and bronze finish which is a cut above the mustard compared to standard plastic models. The camera lens is expertly fitted at the front edge behind a dark panel, setting it apart from other fob-type recorders that typically use pinhole lenses.
You can naturally hold the fob and film in any direction or place it on a flat surface to capture excellent footage. To set the time and date for evidential purposes, the provided software effortlessly syncs the time/date from a Windows computer to the fob. No smartphone apps or WiFi connectivity are required.

CAN THE CAR KEY FOB CAMERA BE INSPECTED?
The key fob boasts an impressive design with a camouflaged camera aperture behind a dark plate. It weighs a solid 72 grams and exudes a premium metal feel. To the untrained eye, it appears as a standard car key fob; however, it's advisable not to allow others to handle it physically to maintain its covert nature.
IS IT STRAIGHTFORWARD TO BEGIN AND END RECORDING?
Indeed! Depending on your preference, the fob's buttons are engineered to initiate and terminate recording in either 2K QHD (2560 x 1440P) or Full HD (1920 x 1080P) resolution. Both modes capture footage at 30 FPS (frames per second), with clear audio and a time-date stamp for evidential purposes.
IS THERE A VISIBLE INDICATOR DURING RECORDING?
No. As a surveillance device, the Car Fob Camcorder operates without visible indicators while recording. However, a charging LED illuminates when connected to a power source or on standby. These indicators help you understand how the product works, and with practice, you'll easily recognise when the fob is on standby, recording, or switching ON/OFF.
WHAT ARE THE RECORDING DURATIONS?
A fully charged fob provides approximately 80 minutes of recording time. The footage is segmented into 5-minute files. We offer an optional high-quality iSmart Power Bank, compact enough for travel or storage in a car glove compartment, to recharge the fob when on the move or away from mains power.
HOW DO I ACCESS AND REVIEW RECORDED FOOTAGE?
Recordings are stored internally on a 64 GB drive in MOV format. To access the footage, connect the fob to a computer (Windows or Mac). No specialised software is required for playback; your computer's standard Media Player will suffice.
HOW DO I CONFIGURE THE TIME AND DATE?
The fob comes with Windows software that swiftly synchronises the time and date from your computer to the device.
CAN THE FOB'S CAMERA FUNCTION IN DARKNESS?
No. The camera requires natural or artificial light. Better lighting conditions result in brighter, more vivid footage. Nevertheless, the fob performs admirably in low-light environments such as pubs and clubs.
