This fully functional desk calculator with a solar panel is ideal for gathering high-quality voice-activated recordings from the home and office for evidential purposes. Professionally hand-built, the Calculator has a huge 75 days standby time and a total of 65 hours of actual recording time over that period. The Calculator Voice Activated Recorder can be closely examined and used as a normal functioning digital calculator without revealing its recording capabilities.
CAPTURE MEETINGS, INTERVIEWS, AND GENERAL CONVERSATION
The recording mechanism works independently of the Calculator's normal functionality. Recordings are very clear and can be captured some 25 feet away from where the Calculator is placed.
TIME AND DATE STAMP
Each recorded audio file can be time and date stamped by launching the supplied software (Windows computers only) and syncing the computer's time and date to the Calculator.
ADJUSTABLE MICROPHONE SENSITIVITY
A recently introduced feature allows you to adjust the audio sensitivity between HQ (high quality) and XHQ (extra high quality). The lower setting (HQ) will draw less power when recording and is best suited to smaller rooms. The higher XHQ setting increases the microphone sensitivity and is best used when recording in larger rooms.
8 GB STORAGE CAPACITY
The Calculator is fitted with 8 GB of flash memory which is enough to store 144 hours of voice-activated files. The file system saves audio files in MP3 format @ 64 KBPS for a sharper, clearer sound. Should the recording be triggered for a few hours a day, the Calculator can exceed weeks of use before a recharge is required.
The Calculator must be opened (accessory supplied) and the unit connected to a Windows or Mac computer. No special software is required to play the audio files. When connected to a computer, the Calculator will automatically begin to recharge back to full performance.

CAN I USE THE CALCULATOR AS NORMAL?
Yes. The Calculator is fully functional.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO TELL WHEN THE CALCULATOR IS RECORDING?
No. The Calculator has no moving parts, external LED's, beeps or other indicators.
CAN I USE THE CALCULATOR AND RECORD AT THE SAME TIME?
Yes. The voice-activated recording operates separately from the normal functionality of the calculator. It should be noted that tapping on the Calculator buttons while recording will be captured on the audio file.
ARE TIME AND DATE SUPPORTED?
Yes.
HOW GOOD IS THE RECORDING QUALITY?
The microphone is of high quality; therefore, you can expect conversations to be recorded very clearly and without interference (unless you or somebody are tapping on the buttons). Audio can be captured some 25 feet away from where the Calculator is placed.
DO I NEED ANY SPECIAL KIND OF SOFTWARE TO PLAY AUDIO FILES?
Audio files are stored in MP3 format, which is standard with all Windows and Mac media players. We recommend downloading the FREE VLC Player from videolan.org, which supports all kinds of audio/video media.
HOW LONG WILL THE RECORDING LAST BEFORE I NEED TO RECHARGE THE CALCULATOR?
A fully charged battery can power the Calculator for up to 75 days (standby time) and record approx 65 hours of voice-activated files. Each recorded file is labelled in sequence 001, 002, 003 etc. In real terms, if recording a few hours per day, the Calculator can easily remain powered for a few weeks before a recharge is required.
Note: Standby and Recording times will depreciate over time.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO ADJUST THE MICROPHONE, SO IT DOESN'T DETECT REALLY SENSITIVE ENVIRONMENTS?
Yes. The supplied software for Window's computers allows you to set the time and date, adjust the audio quality and adjust the microphone sensitivity level.

Note: If you choose DPD for next-day delivery, your order must be received by 10:00 am to allow time for booking a collection.
SATURDAY DELIVERY
We offer Saturday delivery by Royal Mail Special and DPD Courier, provided your order is received no later than 12 noon on Friday. If your order is received after 12:00 noon on Friday, we cannot despatch for Saturday delivery.
Your parcel will be couriered and fully trackable by UPS or FedEx for orders despatched to EU countries and other worldwide destinations. If you have a specific preference of courier please let us know before placing an order.
STANDARD SHIPPING
Your parcel is despatched with an estimated delivery time of 4-6 working days and a flat shipping fee of £39.00.
EXPEDITED SHIPPING
Your parcel is despatched with an estimated delivery time of 3-5 days and a flat shipping fee of £49.00.
Deliveries to the EU and other worldwide destinations are not guaranteed within the stated timescales. Customs and Excise in the receiving country may subject your parcel to charges outside our control.
Sometimes, the delivery destination can exceed the flat-rate shipping fee. We try to absorb additional shipping fees; however, in a minority of cases, this may not be possible due to our small margins, and we may need to touch base with you before dispatch to discuss further options.
