Automatic Telephone Landline Recorder; with Removable Encryption Key

This Automatic 'black box' landline call recorder is a brand new innovative product which plugs into an existing telephone socket to automatically record both incoming / outgoing telephone calls without the need for any setup or technical skill whatsoever.  This is a small hand-built unit with a special electronic system for virtually maintenance free operation.  All telephone calls are recorded in digital WAV format.

Measuring just 65 x 50 x 15 mm, the device is equipped with an in-built fully rechargeable lithium battery which provides six (6) months of standby time (per charge) and a storage capacity to hold 240 hours of recordable telephone calls.

NEW REMOVABLE ENCRYPTION KEY
This recent additional security ensures stored call recordings cannot be accessed without the encryption key.  When removed, the audio files cannot be accessed.  No units are the same and never use the same encryption key.

Each telephone call is stored in chronological order to the device's internal flash memory and can be played back on any Windows computer via the supplied USB cable.

How is the telephone recorder powered?

By an in-built fully rechargeable lithium battery which provides a massive six (6) months standby per charge.

Doesn't it look odd the box is connected to a telephone socket?
For convenience, plug the black box telephone recorder into a spare telephone socket in a different room.  It does not need to be connected to the main telephone socket.  For example: most houses have two (2) or more BT sockets for the same telephone line with the main socket in the living room and another telephone socket located upstairs in a spare room.

Can anybody gain access to the recorded telephone calls?
No.  An encrypted layer of security has been implemented by way of a removable key.  When the 'key' is removed from the device, access to the stored telephone calls are made impossible.  The encrypted key uses a unique algorithm and cannot be copied.

What happens if I lose the key?
We require the serial number of the device.  That is the only way to provide a spare key.

I'm not very technical.  Do I need to set anything up?
No.  The telephone recorder is designed without technical skill required.

I have a normal telephone plugged into the BT telephone line socket so there is no spare socket.  Where do I plug the telephone recorder now?
If your BT telephone socket doesn't already have a spare socket and there are no additional sockets in other rooms, then you will need to acquire a BT Splitter from any phone or computer shop.

Does it record both incoming AND outgoing telephone calls?
Yes.

Are the telephone recordings clear?
Yes.

Please Note: This telephone recorder will not cause any interference or noise on the line to which it is connected, however, the close proximity of components within the recorder may cause slight static on the recorded audio files but will NOT adversely affect the audio recording quality.

I'm being threatened but Im not receiving help and don't know where to turn?
Gathering audio evidence can be used by Police as a valuable aid to act upon.  If you are being bullied, threatened or intimidated over the telephone and you can provide proof with audio recordings it is such an asset.

Do the recordings have a time and date stamp?
No.

How many hours of telephone calls will the recorder store?
The memory capacity will hold 240 hours of total telephone recordings, however, we recommend that you transfer the audio files to your computer on a regular basis to maintain free memory on the recorder.

How do I play back the recorded audio telephone calls?
Simply disconnect the telephone recorder from your BT socket and connect it to your computer via the supplied USB cable.  Once connected, your computer will recognise the device and display the recorded contents.

Can I use as a storage device for other things like documents etc?
Yes.  The internal flash memory can be used as a mass storage to hold your files and folders if you so wish.

Can I play back the telephone recordings on my Apple Mac?
No.  The unit is designed for Windows operating systems only - 98SE, 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Is it legal to record telephone calls?
Yes.  You may record your own telephone calls whether that is for personal use or business use - but you may not install or use such a device or any other telephone recording hardware / software on a telephone or telephone line that does not belong to you or that you have not being given permission from the owner.
