This Automatic 'Blackbox' Landline Telephone Call Recorder measures just 65 x 50 x 15 mm - a brand new innovative product which simply plugs into any existing telephone socket to automatically record both incoming / outgoing telephone calls without the need for any set-up or technical skill whatsoever. This is a professionally hand-built unit with a special electronic system for virtually maintenance free operation. We have now implemented an encryption key - when removed, it is impossible to access the stored recordings on the device. No units are the same and never use the same encryption. This provides peace of mind should the device be discovered.
There is absolutely NO set-up required! Each telephone call is stored in recording order to the device's internal flash memory and can them be clearly played back on any Windows computer via the supplied USB cable.
For complete peace of mind, the recording mechanism is undetectable to RF detectors (bug detectors).

How is the telephone recorder powered?
Sealed inside is a fully rechargeable lithium battery which provides a massive six (6) MONTHS standby per charge.
Doesn't it look odd the box is connected to the telephone socket?
The best way to use this product - simply plug the blackbox telephone recorder to another telephone socket in a different room. For example; most houses have two (2) or more BT sockets for the same telephone line - where the main socket will be in the living room and another BT socket upstairs in the spare room. Simply plug to the telephone socket in the spare room to record the calls without detection.
Is it possible to find the device with some kind of scanning equipment?
No. The telephone recording mechanism does not transmit on any frequency therefore, bug detectors of the most advanced will not be able to detect its working presence.
What if the device is found - Im worried someone will listen to the telephone calls?
To add a superb layer of security, we have implemented a removable encryption key. When the 'key' is removed, access to the stored telephone calls are impossible. When the key is connected, you may then access the telephone calls.
What if somebody else has a duplicate encryption key?
This will not matter as only the original key can provide the correct algorithm to unlock the devices recordings.
What happens if I lose the key?
Fear not, we have that covered too!
I'm not very technical. Do I need to set anything up?
No. We have designed the telephone recorder to be extremely simple to use. There is no setup procedure and no technical skill required. Simply charge the unit and plug directly into your spare BT wall socket (telephone line) - thats it!
I have the telephone already plugged into the BT telephone line socket. Where do I plug this telephone recorder now?
If your BT telephone socket doesn't already have a spare socket then you will need to acquire a BT Splitter from any phone or computer shop. The BT Splitter is a small device which simply plugs directly into your existing BT telephone line socket thus creating two (2) sockets - one for your normal telephone and the other for this telephone recorder.
Does it record both incoming AND outgoing telephone calls?
Yes. Each telephone call creates a separate WAV audio file which captures both sides of the telephone call.
Are the telephone recordings clear?
Yes. Our recorder is professional and therefore, offers exceptionally clear audio from both sides of the call.

I'm being threatened but Im not receiving help and don't know where to turn?
Gathering audio evidence can be used by Police as a valuable aid to act upon. If you are being bullied, threatened or intimidated over the telephone and have the proof with audio recordings it is such an asset.
Do the recordings have a time and date stamp?
No.
How many hours of telephone calls will the recorder store?
The memory capacity is enough to hold 240 hours of total telephone recordings however, we recommend that you transfer the audio files to your computer on a regular basis to maintain enough free memory on the recorder.
How do I play back the recorded audio telephone calls?
Simply disconnect the telephone recorder from your BT wall socket and connect it to your computer via the supplied USB cable. Once connected, your computer will recognise the device and display the recorded contents.
Can I use as a storage device for other things like documents etc?
Yes. The internal flash memory can be used to store your files and folders if you so wish.
Can I play back the telephone recordings on my Apple Mac?
No. The unit is designed for Windows operating systems only - 98SE, 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7.
Is it legal to record telephone calls?
Yes. You may record your own telephone calls whether that is for personal use or business use - but you may not install or use such a device or any other telephone recording hardware / software on a telephone or telephone line that does not belong to you or that you have not being given permission from the owner.
Do I need to be concerned about telephone voltage increases or drops in power?
No. Each telephone recorder will automatically adjust to the telephone providers voltage so unlike other inferior devices, this will maintain a steady operation throughout.
