Digital DAB Radio 3G Spy Camera; with motion activated recording and SMS notification alerts!

Simply plug the radio into any wall socket within the target location and use as an everyday normal digital radio. The hidden 3G camera is secretly switched ON / OFF separately from the normal functionality of the digital radio. As the radio is powered from the mains supply it also constantly powers the hidden 3G camera without the need of batteries or to recharge the unit.
We have also integrated a lithium back-up battery inside the radio which allows for the radio to be disconnected from the mains power whilst still maintaining its hidden 3G capabilities for a further 200 hours (approx eight (8) days) standby. Once the mains power supply is resumed - the internal back-up battery will recharge to full capacity again.
From your mobile phone make a standard video-call to the associated 3G SIM card hidden within the radio, and verify the pre-set password thus enabling you to then remotely view and listen to the activities in real-time. Should you wish to record the room environment (up to 200 hours recording time), this can be done through the hidden 3G camera's security menu.
In conjunction with the standard remote video-calling facility, the radio can be remotely activated / deactivated to send you a text message upon motion detection and then automatically continue recording the activities to a removable hidden Micro SD card within the radio. Recording will continue until either the SD card is full or you remotely (from your mobile phone) deactivate recording.
During any live video-call you can end the call with assurances recording will continue being stored as evidence to the removeable Micro SD card hidden inside the unit. This ensures that no additional costs are incurred whilst recording takes place. You can at any point retrieve the hidden SD card from the radio and review the recorded content on any supported media player including mobile phones.

How motion detection and text message notification works
Whenever the digital radio detects movement (up to 20 feet away) the spy camera will begin recording for between 1 - 5 minutes to a hidden removable Micro SD card inside the unit (depending on your recording preferences) - and at the same time the radio will send you a text message alerting you that movement has been detected. You can then make a video-call to hidden SIM card inside the radio - thus allowing you to visually see and hear the activity in real-time and if you choose, to continue recording for up to 200 hours!
Settings can also be remotely configurable from your mobile phone

What is the difference between a video-call and a voice-call?
A voice-call is a standard speaking telephone call you make every day to a friend, colleague or family etc. A video-call is when you make a call to another person with video-calling functionality so that you can both see each other whilst speaking.
So can I use FaceTime to make a video-call to the radio?
No. FaceTime uses a Wi-Fi connection but also Apple products do not support video-calling to other non-Apple products. In this case iPhone / iPad and iMac computers are not compatible. You will require a handset with a camera on the front and back that supports a standard video-call.
If in any doubt about video-calling, your local phone shop will be able to demonstrate this in store.
FaceTime will now be able to use 3G instead of Wi-Fi for the OS6 operating system. Will I be able to use FaceTime 3G?
No. FaceTime does not allow for video-calling to other non-Apple products.
Can the radio be used as a normal digital desk radio to play music etc?
Yes. This is a fully functional digital DAB radio for standard home or office use
Where is the hidden camera and audio microphone situated?
Cleverly hidden from view behind the grill fascia. It is not possible to notice the camera or microphone.
How is the hidden 3G camera powered?
The 3G camera uses a separate ON / OFF switch from the normal working functions of the radio. Once switched ON the camera obtains its power through the wall socket that the radio is plugged into.
What happens if the radio is switched OFF? Will the 3G spy camera still remain powered?
Yes. The 3G camera uses an internal lithium 'back-up' battery which activates once the radio is unplugged. The back-up battery provides sufficient power to provide up to 200 hours standby - that's eight (8) days of further operation! Once the radio is plugged back into the wall socket, the back-up battery trickle charges to full power.
Do the 3G video recordings have a time / date?
No. This is the same technology as making a video-call from your mobile phone which also does not support time / date functionality.
Is the 3G camera motion activated?
Yes. Once movement is detected, the radio will send you a text message to notify you whilst also recording the activities over a short period of time. At this point, you can interrogate the target location by making a video-call from your mobile phone to the radio.
Can I turn ON / OFF the motion detection feature?
Yes. All features of the 3G camera can be changed through the password protected menu screen which is accessed remotely from your mobile phone during a video-call.
Do I need credit on the associated SIM card inside the radio in order to receive SMS movement alerts?
Yes. Without credit, alerts cannot be sent to you.
Where is the recorded footage stored?
Recordings are stored to a Micro SD card hidden inside the radio. We supply a two (2) GB SD card with each radio. The radio can hold a maximum four (4) GB SD card.
How long is the recording time?
Through the password protected menu screen, the recording time is up to 200 hours!
Do I need to stay connected to the video-call to continue recording?
No. You can start recording or continue an already in progress recording and end the video-call anytime - recording will continue until the specified time to end recording.
Can I play back the video recordings on my Apple Mac?
Yes. The contents of the SD card can be viewed on either Windows or Mac computers and any other SD card player.
Does the 3G camera record in colour or black and white?
3G recording and viewing is full colour with clear audio too!
Does the camera record in a smooth motion?
Yes. Please bear in mind that 3G capability is the same quality as you would see on your mobile phone.
Can I use the radio outside the UK?
It is designed for use by 3-pin wall sockets operating 220 - 240 Volts. If you require a 2-pin European version please contact us.

very very high quality radio, impossible to see the camera and 100% reliable. does as it says on the tin.
